Last Year's Highlights
We started the 2007 Rodeo season in the southern part of the United States. Joining the Stace Smith rodeo crew in Lafayette and Lake Charles, Louisiana we also traveled to Jackson, Mississippi.
March was a busy month which included performances in Montgomery, Alabama and several weekends in Texas.
Rebecca’s parents arrived for a visit from Germany beginning of April and we took them on a little trip to southern California. The Lakeside rodeo was just the right venue for those guys. We were able to catch up with a few friends, including USMC Captain ‘JC’ who then was stationed at Miramar and Rebecca’s dressage coach Sabine Schutt who was in the middle of a competition at the beautiful horse facility in Del Mar.
May is such an awesome month in Utah, so Troy ‘ran down’ to Gymon Oklahoma by himself and Rebecca stayed put to tend flowers and shine up those motorcycles for a spring ride up the mountains

We continued into early summer with a filled calendar. Rodeos in Colorado, Oregon and Utah kept us busy and excitement rose as the publishing date of Rebecca’s first novel
‘Relocating Mia’ came closer. Following that long anticipated July 15th, Rebecca scheduled book signings in conjunction with the rest of the rodeo season.
We stayed close to home in August with rodeos in Heber, Coleville and Farmington, Utah. Weekdays at home meant working at the farm and Troy was able to almost completely fence in our 11 acres horse property and laid miles of irrigation pipe.

Though September was a little lighter scheduled with just Amarillo, TX penciled into the calendar, the work at home continued until we left for Waco, Little Rock and the Prairie Circuit Finals in Kansas City in October.
November was a ‘rodeo free’ month but we prepared for the trip to the Wrangler NFR in Las Vegas, for Troy had been chosen once again to work the Barrel.
The PRCA awards banquet promised to be an exciting night and Troy proudly received the honor of 2007 Comedy Act Of The Year, Coors Man In The Can and a nomination for Clown Of The Year, which deservingly went to Keith Isley.

Congratulations to Boyd Polhamus for his long overdue
win of the 'PRCA Announcer of the year' - award.
Overall, we had a ball in 2007 and we can’t wait to re-new our friendships we made down the rodeo trail.
Our thoughts and prayer to our brave soldiers at war and their families at home.
